So you want to gift music to me through iTunes. Whether it is because you want a specific album or song discussed on the site, or you are just one of the coolest people ever, here is how to go about it in a few different ways.
First things first though. As stated on the “About This Project” page, I will not backtrack on music in the special playlist. If I am already past the “A” albums and you gift me an album called “Abacus”, then it will be graciously accepted but not discussed in a post. If you still think that I really, really, REALLY must listen to this piece of music then by all means gift it on over. Otherwise, don’t waste your money on it. Either pick another album or get your kid a stuffed animal. Kids love stuffed animals, even boys.
iTunes Virtual Gift Cards
iTunes allows the purchase and emailing of gift cards. They act just like those nifty cards you see in stores like Target and Wal*Mart, except you don’t waste any paper and are greener for doing it this way.
To accomplish this you follow this link. Then you fill in all the information like so:

If you take this much time to do this, you really rock.
Yes, that is the email address to send it to up there.
If you have a specific album or albums that you want to be purchased with the gift, put that information in the “Personal Message” box. That way I know it isn’t just a “because” gift.
Specific Album Gifts
There is a way to gift specific albums, it just takes a bit to do it. First you have to find the album on iTunes, making sure it is the album you want to gift.

If you ever gift this kind of music to me they will have to send me to the group "W" bench. Seriously, don't do it.
Once you have found the album, single, or other piece of music you wish to gift to me you click that little triangle next to the “Buy Album” button.

That is a much better musical choice.
You will then greeted by a small menu that includes “Gift This Album” as a choice.

Weird Al rocks.
If you don’t want to gift the whole Al-bum (heh heh, I made a pun) you can gift just a song. Do all the above until the menu option. This time you will be going to the menu to the right, where you can buy just a song.

Hello, Cleveland!
That is how you can gift a piece of music. I am not going to put up an address for physical gift cards or monetary units to be sent as I want to keep angry parents away from bitching at me cause their 15 year old snowflake stole money from their purse/wallet to send me a gift card. If you are under the age of 18 and want to gift music, don’t be a douche and ask your parents permission.
Full Disclosure
As a note, the FTC decided on 10/05/2009 that all bloggers must reveal when they have been compensated for a review. Since this site is a blog, and technically what I write are reviews, I must disclose this information. If you gift music to me then I will mention that it was gifted and put your name in the disclosure.
If you wish to have your whole name not included let me know and I will put your name as “Misty I.”, as an example. First name then initial for the last name.
As well I will not be able to discuss any gifted music that is sent anonymously. If I cannot state whom I got the music from then that could end up quite badly.
While the whole FTC thing doesn’t explicitly include a gift from one person to another in their rules and really only covers a gift from a company to a person, I am not going to take any chances with an $11,000 fine.
