NOTE: Skype crapped out on us near the end and you will hear some weird echo on Spider’s voice. A small portion of the original podcast was cut due to this but a quick hang-up and callback fixed the issue enabling us to finish out the podcast. Elsewhere you will hear Skype issues on Ben’s voice.

Spider & Andrea get back into the podcasting world and catch up on SOPA/PIPA, Fox News derping the derp, and questionable Hollywood castings. A wild cat appears as well.

NOTE: We had some, at the time, unexplained interference on our mics. Due to this there is some background hum and near the end a bit of echo. It wasn’t until he was in post that Spider figured out it was the cheap set of speakers Woot had sent him for a Bag of Crap that was sending signals to the mics. It isn’t too annoying and nothing one can’t get over but if you hear it that is why.

Have you ever just laughed uncontrollably as a conversation grew so organically that the weirdest shit came forth and you couldn’t help it? You get a large dose of that in this podcast episode.

During the middle of recording this podcast we finally licked the Skype issue so no longer will we have disjointed conversations. There is one transition point (knife throw sound effect) but no others.

We also discuss fetishes this time around. We reveal some of ours as well as delve into the deepest, oddest parts of the internet to bring you ones you may never have heard of before.

Now, there is a long discussion about an image that Andrea showed to us. It comes around the 30-35 minute mark in the podcast. I would wait until the moment that she says she tweeted it then click this link. It will give you the full effect of the podcast if you wait for that moment.

Podcast #1: 99 problems + a glitch = one

Trying times on this Podcast. Had a great talk with Metal Mistress, our resident “sexpert”, but Skype was being a bitch and then come to find out it only recorded her portion of the discussion. So some creative editing has been done on this episode.

Add in that the mics we got are mono mics, something that was not told in the specs or even on the manufacturer’s website, and we have had to do some software fun to get faux stereo. We had bought some convertors from Radio Shack but they didn’t work at all as they just killed any sound from the mics.

Hang in there past the first five to ten minutes. I hadn’t set the input volume correctly so it is a bit low. It gets adjusted after that point and is much better throughout the rest.

All in all a trying time but we got through it and did pretty good for a first podcast.
